Experience the power of Music, Faith, Surf, and City at Blessings of the Waves on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 6:00 pm. Join us for an unforgettable evening of unity for all beach cities.

Surfers, religious leaders, and city officials come together at the Huntington Beach Pier Plaza.   The event seeks to recognize the blessings of the spiritual qualities of water and is organized by The Greater Huntington Beach Interfaith Council.  Guests will enjoy music by the lifeguard band "Crew 52" starting at 5:30 pm.

Paul Morrow will be the keynote speaker at the 15th annual program.  Paul is an avid surfer who thrives in educational excellence.  He is the current Huntington Beach School Board President with 39 years of teaching experience.  He formed the National Scholastic Surfing Association JR and placed on the Honor Roll for the International Hall of Surfing Fame.  Paul is the Area Director of Surf City Young Life​ and Area Director for Youth Alpha.   https://www.electpaulmorrow.com/personal-accomplishments.html

Lights will be shared with all as an evening paddle-out begins.  Participants enter the water together and float on the surface, hands linked one by one to form a circle. This circle represents the way in which the ocean brings people together.

The event merges all walks of life and all faiths as it recognizes that the ocean is a common theme in the community.
